Buyer and seller terms
These terms explain how the Daylot preview works. They are not a lawyer's advice. Have them reviewed before you take a real listing or a real bid in South Australia.
Who can use it
You need an account to list or bid. You must be able to enter a contract. Launch is limited to cars located in South Australia.
Listings
Sellers upload photos, describe the car, disclose defects, and declare they can offer it. A listing stays off the public auction list until an operator approves it. The clock starts at approval, not at submission.
Bidding
A bid is an offer at a whole-dollar amount. Daylot rejects bids that are too low, late, from the seller, or duplicated while you are already leading. A bid in the final two minutes can extend the close by two minutes, and not more than 30 minutes past the original end. The server clock decides. The timer on your phone is only a guide.
Reserve and result
If the high bid meets the reserve, or there is no reserve, the auction is marked sold. Otherwise it passes. Sold does not mean Daylot has taken money. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and collection between themselves until a payment service is added.
Sample cars
Listings marked Sample are demonstration data. They are not offers to sell a real vehicle.
Fees
Planned fees are shown on the fees page. No fee is collected in this version.
